Seventh Sunday of Easter (and Mothers Day) – May 8, 2016
Worship will include music by the Canterbury Bells in their last performance of the program year.
The morning also features our Children’s Choir under the direction of Associate Director of Music for Children Tim Cleary, and recognition of the mothers of the Church (all our adult women, whether or not they have children in their households).
In addition to a sermon on the Protestant “doctrine of usefulness,” Pastor Dave Denoon reads from the poems of James Abraham Martling, a participant in the founding of our church, and Morgan Gibson, son of First Church’s former pastor George Mason Gibson, Jr.
