Pastor Dave, musicians, and worshipers at the 2012 Blessing of the Animals

Annually on the Saturday nearest the Feast of Francis of Assisi, First Church invites the public to attend a “Blessing of the Animals.” This year, we will celebrate on Saturday, October 1 at 4:00PM.

Your pet(s) and you can join Pastor Dave Denoon and others in the Churchyard on the west side of the church for a brief service of prayers, songs, and blessings celebrating nature and animal companions.

Pets need to be leashed or enclosed for their safety. If your pet is shy or unable to travel, bring a photograph!
