The Home Front, 1943

The year 1943 witnessed the beginning of a movement within our church and other Congregational churches as we stood in opposition to the U.S. government’s practice of relocating Japanese American families on the West Coast. In this sermon, Pastor Dave Denoon provides the story of First Church and the Obata family, whom the church brought out of the Topaz, Utah, internment camp and gave a new home.
