Our Church in the World
First Church has developed relationships with a number of different organizations, over the years. We call these groups our Faith Partners.
The posts on this page below, describe events and opportunities presented by these ministries and other faith-based organizations which might be of interest to members and friends of First Church.

“Serve God in all.” First Congregational Church of Webster Groves participates in several ministries that benefit the local community and regions throughout the world. Local and global ministries provide members rewarding, volunteer experiences to assist people in need.
Every year, this group meets on a scheduled Saturday to assist in eliminating poverty housing and homelessness from the St. Louis area by building affordable homes for those in need.
Innkeepers and helpers from among our membership meet at the church the 4th Friday of each month to provide a safe place for homeless women, including some mothers and their children, to stay overnight. We provide a meal, companionship, and a safe place to sleep. This program is an outreach of the Sisters of Divine Providence and operates in more than 70 churches around the St. Louis area.
The Brown Baggers
This group, formerly known as “Sandwich Makers,” meets the first Sunday of the month at 8:30 a.m. to prepare sandwiches which are then served to the residents and other clients of Gateway 180.
The Green Team
Members of the congregation who seek to raise awareness in our faith community about how to be better earth stewards. The Green Team meets monthly on last Sundays, following worship.
